95 Johar Baru Teenagers Become PIK

As many as 95 teenagers are participating in the activity of the Information and Counseling Center (PIK) held by Central Jakarta Family Planning, Women's and Community Empowerment Office (KPMPKB) in Johar Baru Sub-District.

Through the activity. the teenagers are expected could decline teenagers' problems in Johar Baru, especially brawl. In future, the active teenagers in positive activity could build planning generation

Head of Central Jakarta KPMPKB, Endang Widaningsih stated the activity is a place for reproduction health program that managed from, by and for teenagers. It aims to give information service and counseling about reproduction health program and also other supports.

"Through the activity. the teenagers are expected could decline teenagers' problems in Johar Baru, especially brawl. In future, the active teenagers in positive activity could build planning generation," she explained.

1,563 Underprivileged Teenagers Participating in UEP Training

According to her, there are many things underlying of PIK. They are the high number of jobless, narcotics abuse, free sex, brawl and teenagers infected by HIV/AIDS. "Such conditions is getting worse with their environment that located in densely populated area," she expressed.

After being trained and counseled, eventually those 95 teenagers will be divided into some groups. "95 participants will be divided into 11 PIK new groups. They will be transferring knowledge and also as consultant of teenagers problems." he closed.
